Is anti-leverage a thing?

Have you ever thought about where you spend your time?

“We need to get this new program up and running!!!”

In my experience, most successful business people take action quick.  They grab an idea and then run with it…

They’re willing to make a mess and clean it up later.

The beauty of this approach is that you even though you’re making mistakes, the positive lessons you learn far outweigh the negatives.

But there’s also a common problem…time.

You may be able to start a new project, but that usually means something else has to stop.

Stop the wrong thing, and trouble builds really fast.

That’s what leverage is really about.  But it’s amazing how easy is to want to fight this…

In my more than 20 years of experience, the biggest factor that determines your ultimate success is how you apply leverage.

The trap for virtually every business (big or small) is time.

I get a client.  I serve that client.  Then I get another client…

Do you see it?

As long as one of your “whale” clients don’t leave, you can survive in this way for a while.

Eventually, you going to get tired.  Want a vacation, or even a weekend off.  Or something just goes off the rails…

If you’re the one doing all the work, this may feel a lot like Groundhog Day.

(I know I’ve lived it enough that I see this really early now…:)  )

I know many people that have very successful businesses operating this way…it’s not wrong.

It’s a choice…

It’s about how you want to apply leverage, and there are multiple ways to do so…

“I do great when I get to talk with a prospect, but I need to talk with more and I’m already out of time”.

Sound familiar?

This is all about how leverage is being applied to the business.  In this case…it’s time.

What about you?

Well, I’m going to hold an upcoming micro-seminar on leverage.

Yes I’m also standing up a small implementation program to get some results for those that are ready to apply more leverage to their business.

Brandon “Bringing the lever” Pugsley

P.S.  I expect this implantation program to last about 6 weeks.  If you consider yourself an action taker, deliver your expertise to clients, and feel that you’re not getting the income or impact you want from your business.  Just reply and I’ll share the details.
